In development · Mac, iPhone, iPad

Sign with your qualified certificate. No printer.

Drop in a PDF, pick where the signature goes, confirm it is you. Parafa signs with the certificate you already have from a Czech provider — and keeps the original as it was.

Parafa is in development and not in the App Store yet. It makes an advanced electronic signature based on a qualified certificate — in Czech law, an uznávaný elektronický podpis.

How it works

Three steps, and the original stays untouched

The same on a Mac, an iPhone and an iPad. The signed copy is saved as a new file next to the ones you signed before.

1Add the document

Drop a PDF or a Word document in, send it from another app, scan a paper one with an iPhone or iPad, or take it from your data box.

2Place the signature

Parafa offers the document's empty signature field or a dashed line marked for a signature. Or drag the box wherever it belongs.

3Confirm it is you

Touch ID, Face ID or your password, then your certificate signs. The signed copy goes to Signed; the document you started with is not changed.

Features

Everything around the signature, too

A signature is the easy part. What makes it hold up is the proof that the certificate was not revoked, a timestamp where you need one, and a check of what other people sent you.

Profiles with your stamp

A profile is a certificate with its stamp, reason, location and timestamp. Pick one when signing; the default one is chosen first.

Your handwriting, or your seal

Draw your signature on an iPhone or iPad, or use a photo of it on white paper — the paper becomes transparent. A company logo or seal keeps its colours.

Sign several at once

Select a pile of documents and confirm it is you once. Each signed copy goes to Signed, and Send All by Mail is one click away.

Long-term validation, and a timestamp

Every profile embeds proof that the certificate was not revoked, so the signature still verifies after the certificate expires. Add a timestamp from the authority you have a contract with.

Check what you receive

Parafa reads what is in the document: whether each signature is valid, whether the document changed after signing, and whether the certificate is on the Czech trusted list.

A library in iCloud Drive

To Sign and Signed, with folders, on all your devices and in Files and Finder. Or keep everything on one device only.

Word documents, too

Signed in to Microsoft, Word's own engine turns a Word document into a PDF through your OneDrive, on any device. Without it, an iPhone or iPad converts on the device and asks you to check the result.

Reminders before a certificate ends

30 and 7 days ahead — with the steps your provider's renewal actually takes, while the old certificate is still valid.

Certificates

The certificate you already have

On a Mac, Parafa signs with the certificates already in your keychain. On an iPhone or iPad you import yours once as a .p12 or .pfx file; it stays on the device and signs only after Face ID or Touch ID.

ProviderIn ParafaWhere the certificate is renewed
PostSignum (Czech Post)testedOn a Mac, in Czech Post's free iSignum app
I.CAnot tested yetOn a Mac or PC, on I.CA's website in Chrome, Edge or Firefox
eIdentitynot tested yetOn a Windows PC; macOS is not supported by eIdentity

Parafa shows your provider's renewal steps. Once the renewed certificate is on the device, Parafa recognises it and, after a test signature, offers to move your profiles to it. An expired certificate cannot be renewed online — the provider checks your identity again, as the first time.

Step-by-step guide

Data boxes

Answer the data box with a signed copy

Add your Czech data box, open what came in, sign the attachment and reply — without leaving the app. So far tested against the data box test environment, not yet with real boxes.

What Parafa does

  • logs in with a password, an SMS code or Mobile Key — as the portal does
  • shows Received; messages stay in the data box for 90 days
  • replies with a signed copy, with your and their reference numbers
  • keeps the password in this device's keychain

What it does not do

  • check for messages by itself — only when you open Received
  • open Received before telling you that opening it delivers new messages and starts deadlines
  • send without your tap — a data box message cannot be taken back
  • anything but replies, for now — no messages of your own, no list of what was sent
